Book Review: Daring leadership in the 21st Century

 If you are looking for a master guide to understanding the people you lead, this is the book for you. Daring leadership in the 21st Century was written by Ugandan, Tonny Sekyanzi. The author uses animal characteristics to describe the best leadership styles for efficient teams and problem-solving. He dwells on the behaviour of Lion, Eagle, Pigeons, and Oxen to teach habits and mindsets for effective leadership. Tonny is a Team leader and General overseer of Kingdom life Tabernacle, Uganda.

Key lessons

  1. Great leaders are problem solvers. They don’t complain like pigeons do.
  2. Transparency is not one-time virtue
  3. Loyalty takes more than just giving instructions and commanding authority. Loyalty must come naturally by the way a leader carries himself and what he does.
  4.  A leader who is not transparent normally allows the spirit of individualism
  5.  A leader without a vision is normally uninspiring and
  6. There is no leadership without a vision
